PROJECT monitoring & Resource Cell (PMRC) EDUCATION WING – ITDA, Seethampeta

          Project Monitoring & Resource Cell ( PMRC) has been constituted to strengthen Primary and secondary Education with the support of “ Sarva Siksha Abhiyan ( SSA )” and Rastriya  Madyamika Siksha Abhiyan ( RMSA).
          The PMRC will coordinate , plan and monitoring components of SSA & RMSA to ensure their implementation in all schools functioning under the department of Tribal Welfare including gurukulam institutions. The PMRC is headed by DEO (A)/DY.E.O(A) with the following monitoring  teams under the control of Project Officer, ITDA, Seethampeta.

 

  1. Academic Monitoring Officer (AMO)/ Academic Training Officer ( ATO).
  2. Community Mobilization Officer (CMO) and
  3. Girl Child Development Officer ( GCDO).

OBJECTIVES OF PMRC ::

  1. Access
  2. 100% Enrollment
  3. 100% Retention
  4. Quality Education &
  5. Girl Child Education.

Activities of PMRC, itda, seethampeta ::

  1. Assisting the Project Officer, ITDA, Seethampeta for implementation of tribal Education.
  2. Opening of New Primary Schools/ Satellite Schools / Non Residential Special Training Centers (NRSTCs) in School Less Habitations where there is no regular Primary Schools within 1 KM Radius.
  3. Up gradation of Schools i.e., Primary to Upper Primary and Upper Primary to High Schools for 100% retention.
  4. Opening of Residential Schools for specific category of children ( STs only )
  5. Providing transport facility to ST children in remote and interior habitations.
  6. Starting of Special Training Centers for main streaming of ST out of School children ( Residential / Non – Residential )
  7. Supply of free text books /4 pairs of uniforms  and Teaching Learning Material       ( TLM).
  8. Engaging of Instructors / CRTs / Health Volunteers in primary / Upper Primary/ High Schools.
  9. Conducting & identifying needs of trainings to the teachers, Vidya Volunteers and community leaders with the support of SSA & RMSA.
  10. Academic support to the school complexes & Mandal Resource Centres (MRCs)
  11. Monitoring & Supervision of Tribal Welfare Institutions and other management schools in TSP area.
  12. Supervising grants released by SSA & RMSA and being utilized effectively.
  13. Maintenance and supervision of computer Aided learning ( CAL) in Tribal Welfare Upper Primary Schools/ Sections.
  14. Organizing Enrollment & Retention drives ( i.e., Badi Pilustundi etc..).
  15. Providing infrastructure facilities like ACRs, New School Buildings, Compound Walls etc to Schools..

            This year there are (385) Renewal students and (33) Fresh students admitted. As such, there are total of (418) S.T. students provided admission into BASs. There are (3) BASs in this district i.e. (1) Vivekananda Vidya Vihar, Seethampeta  (2) Dr.C.L.Naidu EM School, Palakonda and (3) Mont Fort School, S.Gopalapuram.
            The following are the details of Prematric Scholarships being sanctioned to these students.
III & IV   -  Rs.15,000/- per annum;    V to VII             -           Rs.17,500/- per annum;  VIII to X       -    Rs.20,000/- per annum

Admission of S.T. students into Corporate Colleges:
            
During the year 2014-15, (27) S.T. students have been provided admission into Corporate Colleges. These students have opted for admission into Satya Sai Junior College, Palakonda; NRI college, Visakhapatnam; Sujatha Junior College, Vizianagaram; Chaitanya Junior Kalasala, Kakinada through online.
            During the year 2015-16, option for online application for admission into Corporate Colleges has been given.
